Another hilarious episode from the Legends setting up the season finale in dramatic fashion. Neron still remains the villain for this fourth season, a demon currently in Ray Palmer and he displayed more intellect in this episode. By using Ray Palmer's reputation and resources, he claims to have figured a way to stop magical creatures from hurting people and invites them to a tech event called PalmerX with the tagline "the power is in the palm(er) of your hands".. 😂
Part of the episode focuses on an underrated character (Gary Green) that was introduced in Season 3. After he helped Neron take over the time bureau, he became a host for the fairy godmother, making wishes that she will fulfill. As the legends plan an assault at the bureau, Gary makes a wish for Sara, Ava and Mona to be in book club which his own way of protecting the legends from the wrath of the fairy godmother. She had been trying to manipulate him into making a wish that will lead to bad stuff for the legends but he decided to just have fun with them plus his timing was not helping. He kept on making wishes to protect them and even added Nate and Mick along with Sara and Ava to his "wish party" on the waverider. The legends thought he was just messing with them and they kept on abusing and underrating him. He gets pissed and makes wishes that serve as punishment for them for a while. Then they apologize for mistreating him, the part where Ava said "I shouldn't have let you do my dry cleaning or work overtime without pay, that's illegal anyway" got me all 😆😆.
Meanwhile; Zari, Charlie, Nate and Mick sneak into the PalmerX event to figure out what Neron is up to. Neron also uses Mona's abilities to turn into a werewolf as proof of magical creatures to people. Right before they make a move on Neron, Nate and Mick are teleported to the waverider as part of Gary's "wish party". Neron claims to have developed a simple app that will allow people to share real-time life saving monster sightings and that he will be there as the Atom to save them. Zari figures out Neron's endgame as he wants to get as many downloads/users of the app as possible to take them to hell. He wants as many souls there so that he can take over the throne of hell. How did Zari figure this out? By reading all the terms and conditions of the "simple app" which was very much. Neron used the fact that people will not read the terms and conditions of the app before downloading as they are driven by the fear of magical creatures.
Constantine on the other hand is forced to choose between Ray and Astra in hell. He eventually chose Astra because of his guilt and failure to save her but that didn't happen as he was captured and tortuted by a revenge seeking demon he himself had sent to hell. More of Neron's plan involves the fairy godmother tricking Nora into becoming a fairy godmother to Mona and to heal her from the injuries she had sustained from the torture Neron subjected her to. Nora falls for the trick and her wish for Mona doesn't work as Gary is still the host of the fairy godmother. In that moment, Gary, still on his whole "wish party" summons the fairy godmother (now Nora) to go and find John in hell and help rescue Ray though Gary himself is unaware that the fairy godmother is now Nora. 😃
Tabitha on the other hand is now free from the fairy godmother act and is now on the whole "evil queen" vibe..😒
Zari suggests that Charlie uses her shape-shifting powers to rescue all the magical creatures from the bureau into the waverider. Charlie ran into Neron and had to shape-shift into Tabitha to get away from him. Neron later sees the real Tabitha and instantly figures that it was Charlie he saw earlier. The plan works and even Mona is rescued but Charlie is left behind at the bureau. Tabitha suggests to Neron to use Charlie's shape-shifting powers to his advantage whereby she'll shape-shift into the magical creatures he plans to use to attack Washington, D.C. with the intent of scaring people towards downloading his "technological gateway" to hell.. Ikr, what a plan 😐
Zari paid a visit to her past self in 2019 and forgot the dragon egg (she and Nate had been nursing). The episode ends with Nate reminding her of it in the waverider and her past self excitedly looking at the egg crack to see a baby dragon..😆
Season finale is next week Monday.. Here's the trailer.
